This August, I’ve set myself a challenge: to run 100 miles in support of Macmillan Cancer Support.
That’s the equivalent of running a 5k every single day for a month — or a marathon each week.
Why am I doing this?
Cancer has touched my life deeply. I lost my mum to cancer when I was 29, and 11 years ago my wife, Rachel, bravely faced her own cancer journey.
Running has become a big part of my life since I started at Christmas 2023 with my local Park Run. Since then, I’ve run in every country where Capital has a subsidiary: the USA, Czech Republic, India, Indonesia and China.
At 62, I’ve caught the running bug, and it feels right to give something back in return for the joy and achievement I’ve gained from running.
Macmillan’s work makes a huge difference to families affected by cancer, and I’d be so grateful for your support.

I’ll be sharing weekly updates as the miles add up, starting Friday 1st August and finishing Sunday 31st August.
Thank you for any support you can give — whether it’s a donation, a share, or simply a word of encouragement. Every step counts.
