Step-by-Step Guide

Below is a sequence of photographs showing a typical installation of a dry vibration rammable into a small coreless induction furnace.


1 - The Empty Furnace

2 - Position the mica slip-plane

3 - Tape the mica into position

4 -Pour in the lining for the base, level and vibrate.

5 - Measure depth

6 - Trim the spider wire

7 - Ensure the former is clean

8 - Position the former. Level and secure.

9 - Pour in the lining to just above the chamfer

10 - Spike the lining

11 - Top up the lining material around the chamfer

12 - Vibrate the lining around the chamfer

13 - Top up the lining

14 - Vibrate the lining using the internal vibrator and top up

15 - Vibrate

16 - Complete the vibration, reducing power at the top

17 - Spike the lining top

18 - Add the topping and spike into the lining

19 - Ram the lining in

20 - Shape the spout

21 - Put holes in the topping to release steam during sintering

22 - Complete!
